Crowns are Done and Other Things

So, December and January feel like a bit of a blur of appointments and things mixed in with some holiday things.

I started the process of getting my crowns out on December 9 and finished up the last of the permanent crowns on January 29. I am glad to have that behind me. This has had to have been the best dental experience I have had, and that’s a big deal to say that.  After my experience, I couldn’t recommend Northwest Natural Dentistry enough.  They understood what I was trying to accomplish and encouraged me in my journey, one of the techs prayed with me, and the numbing process was the best (least painful) that I have ever experienced.

The day I got the top crowns replaced was quite a big day. I decided to “go for broke” and get both sides of the upper jaw done in one day.  That meant numbing both sides of the upper jaw.  I was a little apprehensive about that because I remember the pain I experienced in previous appointments in years past with the anesthesia needles on the roof of the mouth. I was pleasantly surprised that Dr. Chatfield only goes there if needed and he didn’t need to. He was able to numb me up through the outside by the cheek and his technique made for a painless numbing. The drilling of the old metal crowns off was… a bit… loud and and little unnerving because of the sound radiating through my upper jaw to my ears.  But it was all done in about 4 hours, much longer than doing one side at a time.  Nonetheless, I was glad to be moving ahead and having the last of the metal crowns out of my mouth.

As it turns out, I went straight from that appointment to Daniel’s appointment to get his wisdom teeth out.  They have been bothering him for quite some time and the pain was becoming quite intolerable, which meant he took the first available appointment they could offer… which just happened to be the same day as my 4 hour dental appointment.  Even so, all went well for him and for me and we took the evening low key, as I helped him manage his pain.

Now that I am done with all the dental work, Dr. Sarah added some extra detoxing to my protocol using chlorella and oil pulling with coconut oil.  I am also working on ramping my dental protocol according to this book. It's a book I would recommend to anyone looking for holistic dental care ideas.

So, life continued with…

continuing IV treatments twice a week…

Improving my self injection skills… which is a kind of a big deal for someone who has not been a fan of needles, even could say a bit fearful.

And the month of January was about getting new labs drawn and having another MRI.  One of the labs goes to Germany and something went wrong with the shipping and I had to do a second blood draw for that one. Well, that was a bit of an adventure and I am glad to have that all done... until next time in about 6 weeks, etc. Results will be shared in a future blog post.

So, if you don’t know this, cancer doesn’t thrive in oxygen and if cancer had humanistic traits one could say that "cancer hates oxygen."  So, there are a number of ways to get oxygen… deep breathing exercises, cardio exercises, ozone therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen chamber therapy (HBOT).  IVNV just purchased a really unique oxygen chamber, one that has a recliner rather than a tube.  I tried it out and I hope to be able to add it to my therapy at some point soon.  Right now, finances are super limited and we are going into debt for everything I am currently doing. I am in faith that the Lord will orchestrate something that will give us a financial breather so I can add this in.  I am glad to have this available and have it available at a location that I am familiar with and trust.
